Our shift reports are timestamped and geo-verified, so if a loss happens on a night we covered, you have a written record of when the site was checked and what condition things were in. Builder's risk policies also commonly sublimit copper and theft, so read yours before you assume the loss is fully covered.
- How does a patrol respond when an officer actually finds someone on site?
- The officer calls 911 first, from a safe distance. California private security officers do not detain, chase, search or physically confront trespassers, and ours do not. What they do is give dispatch and responding officers something usable in real time: how many people, what they are wearing, what they are carrying, vehicle make and plate, and direction of travel. Everything observed goes into a written report with photos the same night — that is the document that supports a police follow-up, a trespass letter, or your claim.
- How fast does an officer get to our Wheatland site if something is triggered overnight?

If a cap is pried, a hose mark shows on the tank, or the pad is empty, it is photographed and written up that night with the time it was found, not the next morning. That timing detail is what lets you narrow which shift the loss happened on.
- Should we just buy cameras instead of paying for patrol?
- Cameras tell you what happened, assuming they were not the first thing stolen or spray-painted. They do not call 911, they do not notice that a fence panel was lifted and set back, and they do not check whether a trailer lock was swapped. Most Wheatland sites get the best result from patrol plus whatever cameras are already up — the camera gives you the recording, the officer gives you the interruption and the report.
